When we took over Fullflight Racing in June 2019, we didn’t just buy a company—we inherited a legacy of mixed reviews, aging designs, and frustrated riders. So instead of pretending everything was fine, we rolled up our sleeves and dug in.
Step 1: Listen to the Riders
The first thing we did was hit the message boards. We combed through every forum post we could find—some going all the way back to the early 2000s—looking for real feedback from real riders. Every complaint, every problem, every “this could be better” went into a spreadsheet. That list became our to-do list.
Step 2: Fix the Weak Points
One of the most common complaints? Squeaky, cheap economy heim joint. So we replaced them. All of them. Our current setups use chromoly Teflon-lined heim joints—they’re stronger, quieter, and built to last. No more squeaks. We also learned that riders were spraying WD-40 on joints, which wore them out faster. So we now recommend dry silicone spray instead.
We also moved away from older ball joint styles. In our Elite Series 1.0, we introduced sealed, automotive-style ball joints for better longevity and smoother operation.
Step 3: Total Redesign, Inside and Out
By 2022, nearly everything had been re-engineered. We rebuilt our fixtures, upgraded our powder coating process, and invested in better manufacturing tools. In 2024, that work paid off with the launch of the Elite 2.0 Series.
This series is a complete redesign featuring:
-
Chromoly Teflon-lined heims on the upper arms
-
Fixed lower bushings with Delrin inserts and standard sleeves
-
Sealed, automotive-style ball joints with ¾" thread
-
Reinforced lower arms with added cross members for serious strength
We also retired the old Legacy Series—our focus now is 100% on the Elite 2.0 line.
Step 4: Change Everything—Except the Name
Today, the only thing that remains from the original Fullflight Racing is the name. Every employee, every machine, every process, and every product has been changed or upgraded. The facility is new. The equipment is state-of-the-art. And the mindset is all about building better.
Step 5: Be There When It Matters
We didn’t just improve the parts—we made it our mission to improve the experience. Our customer service is hands-on, 7 days a week, even on holidays. Whether you need help with installation, sizing, or solving a fitment issue, someone on our team is ready to respond.
We know what it’s like to ride with gear that doesn’t live up to its promise. That’s why we’ve built Fullflight Racing into something better—from the ground up.
