Behind the Build: Why Our US Made ATV Control Arms Outlast the Competition

Ever wondered how our control arms for ATVs and UTVs are made? Here’s a quick look behind the scenes at our step-by-step process—done almost entirely in-house and proudly Made in the USA.

1. Precision Starts with CAD and CNC
Everything begins with design. We use 3D CAD software to map out each part. That design goes straight into our BendTech Dragon A250, a CNC tubing notcher that cuts and notches tubing exactly to spec. It even tells us where to bend and labels every part for easy assembly later.

2. Bending for Consistency
Next, we move the tubing to our JD Squared Model 54 CNC bender. This machine ensures every bend is accurate and repeatable. Once bent, parts are placed in our custom-built fixtures. If anything’s off, it won’t fit—and that tells us right away that something needs fixing.

3. TIG Welding for Strength
After confirming the parts fit correctly, we TIG weld everything at one of our dedicated stations. Welding is where the pieces really start to come together into a final arm.

4. Blast, Coat, and Cure
Clean parts are key to a strong finish. Our industrial blaster can prep eight arms in just seven minutes—a huge upgrade from the old process. Once blasted, we powder coat each part right here in-house. Powder coating beats paint every time—it’s tougher, cleaner, and looks sharp. After coating, parts are baked in our oven at 400°F for 16–18 minutes to cure the finish.

5. Fit Check and Final Assembly
Every finished control arm goes through a go/no-go gauge—a mockup of the frame mount—to make sure it fits perfectly. If it doesn’t pass, we adjust it until it does. Then we add bushings and double-check the order for accuracy.

6. Packed to Arrive Right
We follow strict packing procedures to make sure everything arrives safe and sound. Our boxes don’t break open in transit. Once packed, we apply our “Made in the USA” sticker and ship everything out through UPS.

That’s it—our full process from raw tube to finished, ready-to-install control arm. Built strong, built right, and built here.
